The last two days I haven't taken any pictures of myself, but I did decide to participate in a little experiment. If I only change one or two things in my outfit, will people notice? Will I die? Will I become a fashion pariah?
To answer your question, NO! Not at all. In fact, I've gotten compliments both days. The only thing I changed was my outer sweater and my shoes. Same accessories as well! Pretty neat how it created two totally unique looks while only changing a couple items and still go undetected by the masses.
Black Pullover/Old Navy, White Tank Top/Old Navy, Black Ponte Pants/Dress Barn, Black Ankle Boots/Amazon
Side Vent Sweater/Old Navy, White Tank Top/Old Navy, Black Ponte Pants/Dress Barn, Black Wedge Booties/Amazon
Black Bead Bracelet/unk., Black Crossbody Leather Purse/Designer Bags Outlet
Both outfits worked quite well, were comfortable, and easily shifted from work-office attire to evening-lounge-at-home attire.
This experiment goes to show that you don't have to have a different outfit for every day of the week. You don't have to have different clothes for an entire month. By changing one or two items in an outfit, you can wear your smaller wardrobe just as effectively as if you had 1,000 pieces in a massive walk in closet. It also goes to show just how much people do NOT pay attention to what you wear. It's more about your confidence and how you present yourself.
I'd be interested to hear what items you love to wear more than once per week? Jeans? Hoodie? Your favorite boots?
